The scenic and pristine waters of the Wallis and Smiths Lakes provide great boating,
fishing, water-skiing, and swimming, Fishing is great in Wallis Lake, due to the excellent habitat provided by
abundant seagrass beds throughout the lake, the many islands near its entrance,
and its extensive oyster leases. Smiths Lake is usually closed to the sea, and fishing success can vary. However,
most estuary fishes and other animals are present. Prawning is best on the
sandflats to the east of the lake during summer. (Source : NSW Fisheries).
